The Paradoxical Life: Spiritual Yogi & Successful Business Woman
I remember there was a time I thought life was an either/or. I was either a kind & spiritual soul or a rockstar real estate agent. In fact, I believed this so much that I created separation in my life. I had my personal life bucket where real estate rarely entered, and my real estate bucket that my spiritual side rarely showed up. I FELT I needed to show my strengths, my wins, and my expertise in real estate in one sphere, and I could “be myself” in another.
I truly believed I had 2 worlds that were so different that they needed actual separation.
One of the interesting things I found about Europeans was that they often talked about the good vibes or positive energy someone gives off, yet they may not meditate or do yoga. It’s almost as though it’s ingrained in their culture to have that 6th sense for the energetic body one emits. Yet, even in America, we do that too. Sometimes you meet someone, and they just feel like someone you can open up to, or that you’ve known for a lifetime even though you just met. Maybe we don’t feel that about everyone we meet, but once practiced, you can begin to call it in more and more. Quite often, I lean on the gut instinct I get with the supporting information rather than solely data I gather.
And that is how I realized, my worlds were truly colliding. I have often seen a house come on the market and have sent it with a note to a client saying “this is the one”. Or known through meditation the exact list price for an upcoming listing and after checking the comps it is truly perfect, or even known by when someone would get under contract. What was extra cool about that was, my clients felt it aligned as well.
Often, we divide our lives into sections: work, family, health, and passions. We wear multiple hats made from old commitments, personalities, and possibly even who we thought we SHOULD be. The hats are nice, but in reality, we need to ditch the hat rack, and find our perfect fit. One that allows us to be everything all at once. Maybe it’s not perfect, and maybe it’s a little quirky, but it is authentically yours.
I encourage you to ditch the labels and the separation, and allow yourself to be YOU. It’s a beautiful place to live when your whole life can be one without separation.
