Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction & More Can’t-Miss Events
North Scottsdale is buzzing with annual events that draw visitors from across the globe:
Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction: January 18-26, 2025
Car enthusiasts from around the globe converge in Scottsdale each January for the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction. This premier event showcases rare and classic cars, modern collectibles, and automotive memorabilia. With its lively atmosphere, celebrity appearances, and thrilling live auctions, it’s a bucket-list experience for car lovers.
To fuel your day at Barrett-Jackson, start your morning with a hearty breakfast at Butters Pancakes & Café. Located just a short drive away, their pancakes and freshly brewed coffee are the perfect pick-me-up. They even offer several gluten-free options and a couple of vegan options on the menu. After the auction, head to The Mission Kierland for dinner, where the modern Latin cuisine and hand-crafted cocktails will keep your spirits high. Their tableside guacamole is a must! If you’re sticking around for a few days, I highly recommend a lunch or dinner at Volanti, located at Scottsdale’s private airport. You get to watch private jets land while soaking up the sun and enjoying your meal.
Waste Management Phoenix Open: February 3-9, 2025
Known as "The Greatest Show on Grass," the Waste Management Phoenix Open is more than just a golf tournament. It’s a party-packed experience with unmatched energy. Whether you’re following your favorite golfers on the course or soaking in the lively atmosphere of the famous 16th hole, it’s a can’t-miss event.
For pre-tournament fuel, visit Amelia’s by EAT, where everything on their conscious homemade menu is so good, from their avocado toast to their coffee. You may even want to come back for dinner to build your own charcuterie board! After a day on the greens, unwind at Isabella’s Kitchen. The food is fabulous and the sunset views with the mountain make for a perfect way to end your day! Another must is the Waste Management Open Brunch at Volanti. They are only open for lunch and dinner regularly, so this is a special brunch every day of the Open!
Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show: February 13-23, 2025
The Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show is a spectacle of grace and beauty. This prestigious event celebrates the majesty of Arabian horses, featuring competitions, demonstrations, and a marketplace offering everything from equestrian gear to luxury goods. Whether you’re a horse lover or simply looking for a unique experience, this show is a must-see.
Pair your visit with a meal at True Food Kitchen, where the fresh, whole foods menu and patio seating at the Scottsdale Quarter create a relaxing vibe. If you’re craving something sweet, don’t miss Sweet Republic, an artisan ice cream shop serving up creative flavors, including dairy-free options, all handmade in small batches from local ingredients.
